Cleo C. Riggle is a Graphic Designer and animation student. She currently attends Arizona State University and works as a freelance illustrator and animator.
"Relationship dynamics and the importance of connection drive my animation work. As a character animator, I focus on design and symbolism in my storytelling, trying to reveal complexity that the characters cannot themselves say. Strong characterization in narrative storytelling allows me to create characters with depth, so that I can illustrate stories with more depth.
While focusing on 2D traditional animation, I also work with comics and still story images. This allows me to create more well rounded, tangible worlds by approaching them through different mediums. Color and lighting are very prevalent in my work, pushing emotion and personality to further extremes, without overwhelming the work. I believe that by exploring fictional and unfamiliar relationships, we can learn more about ourselves and about our own relationships."
